URGENT: NEED HELP!

Hey people,

Anybody knows whether we've taken these vaccinations before?
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Tetanus
  • Typhoid
I am recommended to take these vaccinations before going, and if took them within 10 years, retaking them now will make me ill. Also, if I've taken two dozes for anyone of them, that effect can last for 20 years. I just checked my birthcert, I've taken Hep B and something DPT (guess Tetanus is in it), but the thing is, it was 20 years ago already, not counted. So I was wondering if I have taken any during primary school and secondary school. I remember I had a doze of Polio, and 2 other vaccines, altogether, but can't remember when, and what. And then you know la, I can't remember all these bio terms, so I'm here looking for your help! Pleaseeeeee

    I brought the small blue booklet with me,Rekod Kesihatan Murid..
    I dont c DPT wor,but form 3 that time,we were given vaccine for kancing gigi(tetanus)..so i dont think you need that..
    For the hepetitis B right,you need to do blood test,to see how much antigen left in your blood,but the thing is..Hep B vaccines consist of THREE doses,which have to be taken in the period of 6 months..in this case,i think you have to ask your GP lea..Hep A and typhoid,never come across,you can seek advise from your GP,c wad's his/her advise to you lor..

    hey mj! i took bcg before..but then i duno ur sko got give the injection ant..coz v r from different sko mah..n nowadays they dont get the injection anymore loh..

    pk: u r great lah..can rmb so many thing especially the bio terms! haha

    Mj:I took BCG also,but my brother didnt,if not mistaken,your year is in between him and I,so,THINK THINK THINK!!hahaha
    I came across this Jadual Imunisasi in the booklet just now,it might be helpful

    i)BAYI
    Baru Lahir-Hep B Dos pertama,BCG
    1bulan-Hep B dose 2
    3bulan-dos pertama Triple antigen,Polio
    4bulan-dose 2 ''
    5bulan dose 3 '' , hepB
    9bulan-campak
    18bulan-24 bulan,tambahan triple antigen dan polio


    KANAK-KANAK SEKOLAH
    tahun1-dose tambahan double Antigen,Polio,BCG
    tahun 6,BCG Dos Tambahan
    Tinglatan 111-tetanus toxoid
    tahun 1~tingkatan6-rubella(sekali saja)

    sh:lol..just copied from booklet =P and i went through all these immunisation stuff b4 i came here,so still remember vaguely =)

    the tetenus immunization only last for 2 years,so its not working on us d.


    yeah, pk is right about everything..

    hence in conclusion u have to inject all 2 and check for hep A and B la~
    hep A is quite important if you are going to eat their food there(which is obvious that u would).

    and we did take BCG in stad 6. (btw, we are in the same year as pk what...pk u are really an amah!!!) its for TB.(though its use is quite controversial)
    aunty look at the bump at your shoulder~ that's bcg. your's some more is the big one.

    I remember I took something in std 6, just that not very sure what is it. So the huge bump is BCG lah. Haha.

    Oh yeah we took that BCG/Polio in standard 1? I thought it was some Hepatitis A or B? Cuz I remember some of us needed to take one or two more dozes, was that BCG/Polio or Hepatitis?

    i dont really remember what vaccination we'd given lea,cuz i was the one exempted from almost every injection,dunno why,the nurse just put a cross on my arm and asked me to leave.I dont think it's hepB la,that 1 u hav to carry out a blood test,cost around 100 i think,i didnt take the test also..

    Hehe paiseh I just asked my mom she said I was exempted from the Hep B also. Hmm no time and no money for the test liao haha. I think it's safer not to take Hep B for now gua..

    why your mum said u were exempted from the Hep B ???
    didnt understand......

    standard one we took hep b test and injection.
    bcg is only at stan 6.

    Cuz i didn't need to take the 2nd and 3rd dozes of Hep B. BUT, i've no idea if i've taken the 1st doze in std 1.. :(
